The pages on this site exist because local service search rewards information asymmetry: companies know how the results page works, most homeowners never get told. Each flagship guide here closes one piece of that gap, using the same method we used to build this and 25 connected sites — explain the mechanism first, then put the numbers in a table.
Reviews are the prominence half of local ranking and the only quality signal most homeowners use — which is why they are also the most manipulated. Google prohibits fake engagement and publishes what it removes (Business Profile help: prohibited & restricted content, accessed October 2026), but enforcement is retrospective. Between a fake burst and its removal, you are the one calling.
We do not publish review scores for individual contractors — we publish the method (this page), the cost tables and the licence checks. Every Tralee page on this site points you at the official registers so that your final call is based on evidence you can check, not on a star average somebody optimised.
A high rating with very few reviews is a young or curated profile. A high rating with hundreds of reviews, mixed text languages and dates, and some detailed complaints is far more informative — perfection at scale is rare.
Bursts: many reviews of similar length and tone inside a few days, often with five stars and one-line praise for unrelated services. Google removes confirmed fake engagement, and its own policy documents list what it prohibits.
Yes — how the company responds to them. A firm that answers a bad review with specifics and no defensiveness usually runs the same way on your driveway.
